JOHN STEVENS
Lead Pastor
Reverend John Stevens was born and raised in South Florida. He and his wife, Rebekah, grew up attending a private, Christian school and church together in Hollywood, Florida. This is where God began His work in John's heart. John was saved and baptized at First Baptist Church of West Hollywood. He and Rebekah like to say that they were "preschool sweethearts!" After high school, John and Rebekah attended Liberty University and earned their undergraduate degrees together. They began working in youth ministry while in college, and they married in 2004. John became a youth pastor and later a discipleship pastor; he was ordained at The Bridge Church in Miramar, Florida, and he went on to earn his master's degree in Christian Ministry also from Liberty University. God called John to Sebastian, Florida in 2017 when Pastor Ron Barber retired from CBC. John and Rebekah love raising their three boys here. Their boys are Johnny, Harley, and Joey!
BOBBY JOHNSON
Worship/Creative Arts and I.T. Director
Bobby Johnson was born and raised here in Florida. Bobby, his wife Tiffany, and their daughters Kamryn and Taylor joined CBC in October of 2017 after Bobby began playing guitar with our worship team. He took a job on staff with Pastor John shortly after John became the Pastor here; Bobby served in several different capacities fulfilling whatever needs we had as a church body. Over the six years prior to working at CBC, Bobby had been playing music professionally until he felt the Lord clearly call him back to the church. Bobby serves as our Worship Arts Director now, bringing us not only incredible music but also a seamless worship experience every single week. He is also responsible for creating and editing countless videos for our church and for managing everything related to technology here at CBC.
JIM LAIN
Discipleship Pastor
Jim comes to us from Maricopa, Arizona where he served as youth pastor and elder at his church. Jim began his relationship with Jesus in 2011. He is married to Amber, his wife of over 20 years, and he has four children Devon, AshLynne, Cody, and Bailey who is their youngest. Jim is passionate about helping others grow their relationship with Jesus through prayer and biblical teaching as well as through the community of believers that make up the Body of Christ. Jim and Amber have become involved in fostering and are in the process of adopting two children, Angelina and Orlando. Jim is always ready to jump in and serve wherever he is needed here at CBC. He is faithful to his calling and always available to listen and pray for anyone in need.
HOWARD BELL
Associate Pastor
Howard and his wife, Allison, have 3 children and 10 grandchildren. He has worked in several churches part-time as a Lay Minister for the past 39 years. He has also ministered through music, playing bass and providing background vocals in several praise teams. Howard enjoyed many years in traveling, gospel quartet as well. Howard has a business degree with a minor in accounting. In addition, he has studied at Luther Rice Southern Baptist College and Seminary as well as Liberty University. After several years in prayer, God moved him and his wife from Eastern Long Island, New York to here in Sebastian. When he joined CBC, he found a place to call home, and began ministering to those 55 and older. His heart for people is incredible.
GRACE CUEVAS
Children's Ministry Director
Grace came to us as a sign language interpreter and a ministry intern. In 2023, she joined our staff full time as our Children's Ministry Director. Grace was born in Aurora, Illinois to a Christian family and was homeschooled by her parents along with her two siblings. Grace has been involved in Children's Ministry for about ten years. She grew up loving her church's Awana program. She has always wanted to be a teacher, and she loves the opportunity to teach children about Jesus every week. She moved to Vero Beach, Florida in 2019. She is passionate about children, reading, cats, and American Sign Language! She earned her bachelor's degree in ASL/English Interpreting from the University of North Florida in 2020 and her master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University in 2022.
RAUL CUEVAS
Administrator
Raul has been attending CBC since March 2011. However, long before he accepted the Lord, Jesus Christ, he knew that God was calling on him to serve Him. Raul didn't know where exactly God wanted him to go. It was sometime in 2011 that Raul came to CBC, and Pastor Ron prayed to God to direct Raul to the place where He wanted me to serve Him. Well, Raul never left CBC. As time went by, Raul understood that he didn't have to look anywhere else. You see, Raul knows that he was exactly where GOD wanted him to be. His wife Josie, his son Jay, his daughter-in-law Grace, and his grandson Lino also attend CBC.
DANIELLE MOTT
Family Life Director
Danielle was raised in a Christian home and attended a private, Christian school as a child where she learned about Christ. She accepted Him as her personal Lord and Savior at the age of fifteen while attending a summer camp! In 2019, she rededicated her life to the Lord and to service. She is married to Kody Mott and together they are parents to Mackenzie. Danielle is an animal lover who enjoys admiring all of God's creation by spending time outdoors. Danielle is passionate about youth and believes that building into the next generation is so important for them and for the future of the church. Danielle's spiritual gift is serving, and she loves to serve in any capacity whether organizing events, serving the teens in our youth ministry, or just by answering phones. She is passionate about creating a great culture here at CBC and engaging with new people to invite them to visit our church, to come to know Christ, and to feel at home here.
REBEKAH STEVENS
Publications Director
Rebekah was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil where her parents have served as missionaries two separate times! At the age of four, her father accepted the pastorate at First Baptist Church of West Hollywood, and the McCord family moved back to the U.S.A. This is where she met Pastor John! They attended Hollywood Christian School together for preschool through high school graduation. Rebekah accepted Christ as her Savior at the age of five years old. She was baptized by her dad at the age of seven. In college, she truly understood the finished work of Jesus on the cross and surrendered her entire life to Christ. She and John attended college together and were married in 2004. They've been serving side-by-side in ministry ever since. Singing, writing, teaching, and reading are things she is passionate about, but nothing is more important to her than her family. John, her 3 sons, and her dogs keep her fulfilled and busy!
