Who We Are & What to Expect
Community Baptist Church is a family and a place to call home. It’s a place to receive help, healing, and hope. Whether you have never experienced Christ or you have been following Him for a lifetime, you’re welcome here.
At CBC we don't take ourselves too seriously, and we love to have a good time. At our weekend services, you will find we are casual in our dress, intentional in our worship, and relational with each other. We offer two worship experiences on Sunday, 8:30 am & 10:30 am. Come worship with us this Sunday!
Whatwebelieve
We exist to share the message of the Gospel with everyone who will listen and encourage every believer to walk in the Spirit and in truth. Our church recently came together to develop a mission statement that represents us well. It says:
"Driven by the love of Jesus, we are impacting our world by helping the hurting, finding the lost, and compelling all to cultivate a new life in Christ."
We are a church that delivers the perfect love of Christ just as 1 John 3:16 says, "This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters," and as 1 John 3:18 says, "Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth." ourministries
Our church has something for everyone! Every person matters to us. We have a specific place for all, from newborns all the way through grandparents. We encourage each attendee or member to join a life group. There is no better way to connect with others on a more personal level and to dive deeper into your study of the scriptures.
Outreach
Local
A few of our ministries fall under outreach because we aim to minister to those in our community and far beyond. We have a food pantry that is open to the public weekly and is stocked and managed by the members of our church. We also host Divorce Care and Grief Share groups that provide a place to connect while facing hard times.
Global
Overseas missionary work has always been a priority to Community Baptist Church. We support thirty missionary families who are actively serving on the field. We have committed to getting to know each missionary family on a first-name basis. We communicate with them regularly to be in prayer for them and to provide for their unique needs. If you visit our church more than once, chances are good that you will meet one of our missionaries in person!
